I offer personalized guidance to help you
get into your dream graduate program.
Statement of Purpose
Your statement of purpose is the heart of your graduate school application, providing a compelling narrative of your academic journey, goals, and motivation for pursuing advanced studies. It's your chance to stand out, demonstrate your fit for the program, and convey your unique perspective. I offer in-depth reviews and editing to ensure your statement is clear, coherent, and persuasive. Together, we will refine your narrative to highlight your strengths, align with the program’s values, and effectively communicate your passion and vision for the future.
Curriculum Vitae
Your CV is more than just a list of accomplishments; it’s a strategic document that showcases your academic and professional trajectory. A well-crafted CV presents your qualifications in a concise and impactful manner, emphasizing your readiness for graduate-level study. I provide thorough reviews and extensive edits to help you organize your experience and achievements effectively. By enhancing clarity, structure, and focus, I ensure your CV highlights the skills and experiences most relevant to your chosen program, helping you to maximize the impact of your application.
Reference Letters
Reference letters can significantly influence your application outcome by providing external validation of your academic and personal qualities. However, choosing the right referees and making effective requests can be challenging. I offer strategic guidance on selecting the most appropriate references and crafting requests to address specific aspects of your application package. While I won’t edit the letters themselves, I will help you develop a targeted approach to ensure your references emphasize the qualities that make you a standout candidate, enhancing the overall strength of your application.

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Medicine—and a graduate from the Master of Design (Visual Communication) program—at the University of Alberta, Canada. I work at the intersections of health and design, applying user-centred and participatory processes across areas in public health and healthcare services. My research focuses on the systems, policy, and service design aspects of Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) in Canada, with a particular emphasis on access to care. I am broadly interested in the meeting ground between healthcare and design studies across a variety of domains. Beyond my doctoral research, I have been involved in research on the user-centred design of emergency departments and opioid overdose health information. My work is driven by an overarching concern for social empowerment, improved user/patient experience, and the sustenance of dignity, autonomy, and agency in medical and social care. I am currently a CIHR and Alberta Innovates fellow in patient-oriented research, aiming to bring community-based, patient-centred solutions into health systems and services.
